When Problems come, don’t just react, also act

This is the common pattern I have observed. When problems come we tend to react to the problems rather than getting in action and going for solution. This is true for all kinds of problem, big and small. I don’t say you should not react to the problems, it is completely ok to react when problems come. But don’t just react, also act. Many of my friends, family members and people around me get stuck in the problems. They just go blank. They make it so big and do not act when they get into problems.

When any problem comes, remember these three things. First thing, know that it has come to make you stronger. If you would not have been able to fight it, God would have never given you problem. Sooner or later you are going to come out of it and you will become stronger in the entire process. Second thing, think about problems you have faced in the past and have overcome it. Third thing, know that every person in this world faces problems, problems are part of life. Even God faces problems, but God doesn’t keep complaining about it rather God act on it. Krishna, Rama, Jesus, all have faced problems. So don’t expect that problems should never come in your life. Rama went to forest for 14 years, after becoming king also he and Sita were separated for several years. Jesus was crucified. Many Gurus of Sikh religion were tortured by mughals.

We can pray to God to give us strength to overcome the problem. In one way the strength is within us, God only makes us realize this thing. When prayer is done with faith, it is listened for sure. So next time when there is problem, just remind of yourself this knowledge. Then there would be no problems facing problem…!!

Runs n chases-2

Finally we were relieved and were happy as we could spend some time with B n D. After some minutes they arrived. We all shouted and ran towards them, other people at the railway station were looking at us out of curiosity as B n D were treated like celebs. We all were desperate to get 1 pic with them.

Dinesh dada was talking to us while Bawa was figuring out something in the reservation chart. We enjoyed meeting B n D as much as the journey to station.
Finally the train was all set to go. Lucky train to possess them for some hours…!!! As train started we were waiving hands, much in filmy style even B n D were saying bye to us. In all this we could see a White handkerchief was waved by Dinesh dada. YYYYEEEE, we all again shouted loudly. People in entire station were only looking at us. While coming back from station we got stuck in traffic and got little late. I still wonder the empty roads just half n hour before and in no time traffic popped up.

Runs n chases-1

The last day of the Mega YES!+ on 1st November 2010 was fantastic. We had amazing session with Bau and Dinesh bhaiya. We volunteers came to know that B n D along with Rashmin bhaiya and Piyu didi had to catch train at 9:30 pm. The session got over at sharp 9 pm and a mahindra scorpio was ready for them so that they reach on time. We first arranged for B n D, many course participants wanted photos with them, enthusiastic crowd who were like honeybees around the honeycomb with B n D. we made them sit in the car and the car left for station.

The time when Bau and Dinesh bhaiya were in Ahmedabad, their schedule was packed. Volunteers did not get even little time to spend with them. Some of us decided to go to railway station and spend at least few moments with them. We were 8 people and only 1 small car, Maruti 800! It looked impossible to fit in, but we all just made it possible somehow. Keyur was driving, Sudha n meenal at shotgun seat, on the back seat we were 5 people. Hiren, sneha and piyush. I and tejal didi just got fit somehow.

Keyur was given many offers while he was driving. Hiren said if he makes to railway station on time, before the train leave, he would give him nice gift. There were so many phone calls on the way and it was difficult for the person attending the call to talk. There was also much traffic as diwali was just 3 days ahead. All the roads which seemed empty on other days were jammed on that day. We just prayed to G so that we atleast can click 1 photo with Bau and Dinesh.

Finally we reached station. Piyush went to get platform tickets, I ran to find on which platform train was arriving. We didn’t knew their coach number. 1 person amongst us called up and got coach number, it was all chaos happening at Kalupur railway station.
When we made it to the coach, we realized that we had reached before B n D. This was magic. Scorpio car was beaten by Maruti 800 loaded with 8 people that too we had left after some minutes from the course venue.

To know what happened next, catch the next post.

Working with Gauri parashare for YES!+ at Ahmedabad

It was 19th October 2010 when I met her for the 1st time. 3 fantastic YES!+ teachers Rasmin bhaiya, Piyu didi and Gauri didi came to Ahmedabad for organizing Mega YES!+ which was conducted by Bawa and Dinesh. We made a plan of forming 3 teams, which will be led by those 3 teachers. I had heard a lot about Rashmin bhaiya. I had even seen videos of his intro talks and I had loved that so much. At the time of team formation I wanted to be in Rashmin bhaiya’s team, fortunately I was put in Gaurididi’s team.

From 20th oct 2010 we started working for the course. I was amazed to see her enthusiasm. We went to many colleges, spoke to many people. Actually It was she, speaking to many people and I was just observing and learning the way she use to give intro talks, speak to directors of college, manage things, the way she use to follow Bawa’s instruction and much more. We worked for mega course in a team and it was amazing working with her.

After the course all teachers left. I got this news after diwali that out of 3 teachers, one will be coming back to Ahmedabad to work for YES!+, and it was Gaurididi. Great news was that she was going to stay near to my place. That was wow moment for me. I knew it was all designed that way, it can’t be a co-incidence. After she was back we went to many colleges, she gave many intro talks and this time the learning was of next level.

Some advices from my side when you are working with Gaurididi.

 Be punctual and be ready for surprises.

 She will be busy all the time and she will make sure that you also are busy in some work.

 If your day is very good then Bau might call her and you can over hear bau.

 You can get to know lots of interesting things about Bau from her which generally people doesn’t know.

 You can also know many things about the ashram and guru stories happening in the ashram.

 Bau has also taught her cooking. So if you are lucky you can have Satvik, tasty and delicious food.

 She doesn’t demand comfort, very adaptable to new things. She keeps learning new things. You can even teach her your regional language and she will pick it up really fast.

 She can even tell you what to eat and what not to eat. Once she told me not to eat onions in dinner, and from that day I have never consumed it.

 If you get tickled easily then don’t let her know, she will tickle you a lot.

 She is really good observer, if you want positive change in yourself, ask for her feedback, it will definitely help you.

 If YES!+ work had happened nicely then you can also get ice-cream and Lassi treat.

 She will call you up and describe things happening in ashram so nicely that you would fell you are present right there.

World Alliance for Youth Empowerment (WAYE)

What does today’s Youth do? The truth is that today’s youth actually does not do much things that benefit them or to the society. It might sound harsh. Let me give you an example, a science student just wastes 4 years of time in graduation. They may even have a engineering, pharmacy or any other degree at the end of 4 years but practically they are illiterate. They would have had many affairs, fights, night outs, pub parties and what not, but no education. At the end of 4 years when you have degree in your hand, you will regret it because you have no knowledge. This is the story of majority of the youth.

Youth are not useless, they are used less. There is so much potential in today’s youth, but sometimes the system does not allow it to come out and most of the times its youth themselves unaware of their talent. Youth may have talent in sports, art, dance, creativity, science, commerce etc. but that talent is just wasted.

 Today, a talented sports person is wasting time to get over a relationship he had some months ago.

 A good science student is not getting job because he gets nervous during his job interview.

 A creative person’s creativity does not come out because he is not confident about what he does.

 A commerce graduate is not able to grow in the market because he is confused and cannot take decision.

This is like you have to decorate your room, you have all the materials and space, but you don’t know how to organize things. When things get organized they become beautiful. Suppose on 1 paper there are all colors mixed up, it will only create a mess, whereas on the other paper, organized colors can form a beautiful painting. WAYE is like organizing our life to make it beautiful.

WAYE is the WAY. Workshops like YES!+, YES!+ advanced and YES!+ DSN can organize your life to great extend. It has so many positive effects that it can organize the society as well. You might have an excellent bike with 200 CC but if you do not have direction, where will you go? Directions in life is very important.

Just imagine, you get up every day in the morning and you wake up with enthusiasm that you have to do so much and that enthusiasm stays with you throughout the day. Nothing can shake you and no power can steal away the smile from your face. It might look as a dream, but this is definitely possible. In fact enthusiasm word in itself means a lot. The word enthusiasm has a greek root thu, which means god, when god is in you. It does not only mean josh. In case if you have not done YES!+ workshop do it as soon as possible.

The power of positive energy

I have noticed that people usually think negative. They are sure and confident of what they cannot do but such confidence is not seen for positive things. The fact is that positive energy has tremendous power. It can do all which seems impossible. One positive thought can kill billions of negative thoughts.
The God has given fantastic example.

If there is darkness in a room since long time , it just takes few seconds for light to come and spread the brightness.

One positive thought is like a fire which is put down below honeycomb. Just in no time all the honeybees disappear and only honey is left. All negative thoughts are like that honeybees which are surrounding the self. Once there is fire, honeybees vanish in no time leaving behind the honey, the self which is sweet, smooth, colorful, attractive and ………… .

Sweet Story

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village.

A tourist complimented the local fishermen

on the quality of their fish and asked

how long it took him to catch them.

" Not very long." they answered in unison.

"Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?"

The fishermen explained that their small catches were

sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families.

"But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

"We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children,

and take siestas with our wives.

In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs.

We have a full life."

The tourist interrupted,

"I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!

You should start by fishing longer every day.

You can then sell the extra fish you catch.

With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."

"And after that?"

"With the extra money the larger boat will bring,

you can buy a second one and a third one

and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.

Instead of selling your fish to a middle man,

you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants

and maybe even open your own plant.

You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City , Los Angeles , or even New York City !

From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."

"How long would that take?"

"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist.

"And after that?"

"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting, " answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the fishermen.

"After that you'll be able to retire,

live in a tiny village near the coast,

sleep late, play with your children,

catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife

and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."

"With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the Mexicans.

And the moral of this story is:

Know where you're going in life....

you may already be there
